Your skin is translucent like a dame so fair
I peel you to reveal your inner sweet layer
Then I chop your heart into a million pieces
As your elegantly sweet fragrance releases
I wrap you with a foil hug, roasting you in thyme
I am your cruelest lover, but still you think I am fine
You come bursting out of your translucent skin
Revealing your wonderous flavour within
You are my secret lover, I toast you, salute you
We celebrate with a goblet o' wine or two
I savour your flavour, but you do me no favour
Because all secret relationships come with a waiver
You are my cruelest lover....for the very next day
People won't speak to me, my breath has betrayed
I scrub my teeth, brush them and floss some more
But there you remain like a stubborn cold sore
So is this what you call your sweet revenge?
It doesn't matter.....I would do it again!
Next time I will share you with all of my friends
That way we ALL have bad breath in the end.
